As we move from the dryness of winter into the awakening of spring, the body naturally begins to soften and rehydrate. In Ayurveda and yoga philosophy, spring is a time of renewal, circulation, and nourishment. Just as the earth begins to thaw and bloom, our skin and hair benefit from gentle hydration to restore suppleness and glow.
Here are two simple homemade masks using ingredients you may already have in your kitchen.
🥑 Glow Face Mask (Deep Nourishment)
Great if your skin feels dry or tired.
Ingredients
• ½ avocado
• 1 tsp honey
• 1 tsp olive oil (optional)
Steps
1. Mash avocado very smooth.
2. Mix in honey and oil.
3. Apply to clean face.
4. Leave 15–20 minutes.
5. Rinse with warm water.
✨ Avocado deeply nourishes, honey hydrates and softens, and olive oil restores natural skin barrier.
🥥 Deep Moisture Hair Mask
Perfect if hair feels dry or dull from winter air.
Ingredients
• 1 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 egg yolk (optional for protein)
Steps
1. Mix ingredients.
2. Apply to damp hair, especially the ends.
3. Leave 20–30 minutes.
4. Wash out with shampoo.
✨ Oils replenish shine while honey helps retain moisture in the hair shaft.
Spring is the season when nature reminds us that softness returns after the cold. Hydration supports elasticity in the skin and vitality in the hair, helping prepare the body for the warmth and radiance of summer.
Sometimes the most beautiful self-care rituals are also the simplest.
🌿 Nourish yourself.
🌿 Hydrate deeply.
🌿 Let your natural glow return.
